*EASTER MEGA AFRICAN PARTY 2012*
It is about that time again, when the resurrection of the Messiah signifies
Stockholm City’s rebirth. Mama Africa Club and Nile Afric Promotions with
its affiliate present Africa’s finest for the Easter Mega African Party in
Stockholm City:
*Haruna Mubiru (Uganda)* Ranking as one of the genuine superstars of
sweet, melodious, and harmonious love music. Haruna was one of the maestros
of Eagles Production Band until when he cut loose, spread his wings and
pursued a successful solo career. On the 4th Nov 2011, he launched is 1st
solo album called Kanya Mpisa (32,665 YouTube views) which has sold
hundreds of thousand copies. Haruna has had great hits such as: First
Class, Obufumbo, Sajjabi, Owangudde, Silubala, Oyaka Nga Njuba, Ticket,
Bakazi Bange, Ebyafe Byaffe, Nkola Byange, Mukono Gaamu, Yegwe, Wallahi,
Ekitooke and many more.
*Cindy (Uganda)* A former member of the Ugandan girl group called Blu*3.
She became member of Blu3 (3 Black Ladies from Uganda) together with
Lilliane 'Lee' Mbabazi, and Jackie Chandiru in 2005 after they won the Coca
Cola Pop Stars competition in Uganda. The judges thought they'd make a
great group and Blu3 was formed. Before that she’d participated in a local
competition called the Coca Cola Real Stars. She won the 3rd placed
position in that and was the top gal. Blu3's debut, Hitaji, was a success
in Uganda. Cindy and Blu3 embarked on a national tour and performed at
various events across the African continent.
In 2008, Cindy got a revelation and left to pursue a solo career. Later
that year, she released her first single, Mbikooye (56,997 YouTube views),
which became a hit.
Cindy went main-stream and had a collaboration with P-Square and produced a
song titled You & Me, which engulfed the whole of Africa and beyond. Some
of her songs are Na Wewe, You & Me (124,992 YouTube views), Number One,
Ayokyayokya (220,864 YouTube views) and many more.
*Jackie Chandiru (Uganda)* Is seeing success as a solo artiste having been
a member of Blu3 too. Some of the solo projects Jackie has been involved in
recently are Gold Digger (54,296 YouTube views), Wind It Up (Tyabula),
Agassi, Gwoyagala and also featured on Jose Chameleone's Going On (20,557
Youtube views) and Batabazi's Dirty shame. Jackie is enjoying the most
successful solo career of the current Blu 3 group line-up. Chandiru's solo
releases on the other hand are enjoying quite a lot of airplay and
attention. Going On, which is her collaboration with Jose Chameleone, is
played almost daily on one of the local TV stations. Chameleone, however,
is not the only big name she has attracted. She has collaborated with
Rabadaba, titled Gwoyagala that has attracted significant attention
especially on the media forum YouTube, clocking over 16,753 individual
views thus far.
*Knowless (Rwanda)* Music diva Knowless launched her maiden musical album
in December 2011.The album "Komeza" was first launched in Rubavu District
during the Jungle Party at Kivu Serena Hotel, and then, all roads led to
Amahoro Stadium's parking lot in Kigali for her much sold-out album launch
concert.
Local artistes, as well as, music icons from Kenya, Uganda and Nigeria
performed in front of thousands of Rwandans who had thronged the venue to
full capacity.
Uganda's leading female songbird Jackie Chandiru, honoured Knowless’
concert by giving her fans an early Christmas present. The 'Gold Digger"
star emerged on stage clad in a glamorous yellow getup and delivered a
smashing show. Her natural voice and belly dance movements, complemented by
her backup dancers, left Knowless’ fans craving for more.
Under her belt, are tracks such as "Ibidashoboka", "Inshuti",
"Byarakomeye", "Rukuruzi" and mega hit "Byemere" featuring Uganda's
Vampino.
Knowless is a prolific vocalist, songwriter and a dashing entertainer.
Two dancefloors with full heavy sound systems the djs will be mixing the
best of the best African music all night long.
