TANZANIA ASSOCIATION IN SWEDEN (TASWE)

  "Tanzanian association in Sweden,collects Swedes and Tanzanians for a stimulating interaction to develop their strong interest and love for tanzania.

Many of our members were born in tanzania. Others are Swedes who have lived and worked there. Many have tourist in Tanzania and in love with the country. Some have helped with development. Some have experienced the apartheid era for others, this will be history.

We want to keep us informed about what is happening in Tanzania. We want to know the common drive. We want to remember, we want to meet friends, we want to develop ideas and we want to have fun together. Tanzanian Association in Sweden The association views its mission as:

* Make it a pleasant atmosphere, bringing together people with an interest in Tanzania, its culture, nature, food , people and development
* To disseminate interesting and factual information about Tanzania.
* To promote better understanding and contact between the peoples of Tanzania and Sweden
* To encourage friendship, cooperation and solidarity between peoples
* To promote and arrange contacts between our members and Tanzania organizations and businesses in Tanzania and Sweden.
* To give the Swedish members increased opportunities to meet Tanzania culture, products, travel opportunities, science and literature
* To protect Tanzania identity in Sweden

We organize meetings and gatherings for members and other invitees. We are a living contact with Tanzania representation in Sweden, with Swedish and Tanzania organizations and companies. The association is politically and religiously neutral, but it does not prevent us to monitor and report on developments at all levels in Tanzania.
