Vodacom Tanzania has appointed Ms Mwamvita
Makamba as the company’s Chief Officer: Marketing & Corporate Affairs
Mwamvita Makamba holds a Masters Degree in Politics and
International Relations from the University of Dar es Salaam and she has been
with Vodacom for three years. She becomes the first woman to hold such a senior
position in the company which started operations over ten years ago.
Under her new portfolio, Ms Mwamvita will look after
Consumer and Business Marketing, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Brand
and Advertising, Corporate Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility
(Vodacom Foundation), Sustainability and Stakeholder Relations for Vodacom
Tanzania.
This post makes her answerable directly to the
company’s Managing Director, Dietlof Mare.
