Dear fans, the Network for Africans Unity requests you to mark your calendars on Saturday 25th June 2011 when all roads will lead to Sollentuna for the Day and Night Midsummer celebration.
Isaac Msafiri is back with his long awaited Tanzanian Nyamachoma special grill at Malmvägen’s open garden. The grill will start at 13.00 hrs and has already attracted several fans who have booked whole goats. Media houses in Stockholm are sending messages to the East African community, the larger African community and to all members of the public. The last time we had such a grill in 2009, there was a long queue of people lining up for a piece of choma and by 17.00 hrs, nyama was finished. This time, we are well prepared to serve choma all day and all night but it will be better if you come early enough.
Don’t miss the Dance show to celebrate Mid summer in style. The dance show will be in Häggvik Centrum (East), not far from Malmvägen where grilling will be taking place. From Malmvägen, one can walk, take the train (one station which is 2 minutes from Sollentuna station) or drive to ABF Dinner/Dance Hall in Häggvik. Management will provide a mini bus to transport those who may need to move in groups to the dance hall.
In the dance hall, fans will be entertained by our upcoming artists, Shy Bull from Kenya and Boyz in September from Uganda. We have Djs: Jimmy, Mike and Richy. Expect Afrobeat, Bongoflava, Kona Dance, Reggae ton, R&B, HIP HOP. There will be LOVE SONGS and music to remember- all night long.
Be warned: Don’t forget your tooth brush. You may need to brush your teeth in the morning before you are served hot soup that will take away your hang over for the rest of the week.
